We were approached by Nichola, owner of Handmaker’s Factory on Barkly Street West Foostcray, to create a set of ceramic vessels to accompany their candle making kits.

We created a set of 30 candle bowls with an indented flame decal along the bottom. Our aim was to create something fun, eye catching and multi-functional. We casted them using a blue and orange pigmented clay, and finished the interior and rim of the bowl with a matte clear glaze.

Our design constraints were the bowls needed to fit easy within a provided box for shipping and hold 200ml of wax. The project included design, digital modelling, plaster mold making, and slip casting/glazing.
