We were approached by Steff, owner of For My Planties in Meanjin, to help create a one-part mold of her planter design to assist her slip casting process.

We made one mold for Steff to trail her planter design. It includes a ring foot with draft angles and a tall cylinder body. We altered the body slightly to ensure ease during casting a deep piece.

Our design constraints included 12% clay shrinkage, and for the dimensions to fit a standard planter pot. The project included digital modelling, 3D printing and plaster mold making.
